【梓喵的英语学习笔记】英语四级近义词辨析（22）

写在前面：

1. 所列词汇中，除特殊标记外，绝大多数来源于大学英语四级（CET-4）考纲词汇，请自行斟酌难度；

2. 所列词汇没有特定的顺序，所以只适合记录学习，不能作为辞书使用；

3. 本文系列是分批发布的，也许一篇内的单词很少，这和我个人的学习进度有关系；

4. 学习近义词的最好方法就是阅读、阅读和阅读，本文仅给出一些启发性的意见，因为大多数区别并不是仅依靠汉语就能说明白的，大量的文本阅读和理解才是你的第一手资料。

5. 所有近义词的词汇解析是仅依靠自身学识和自身能查到的资料再经过个人加工而形成的，不论是个人和网络，难免会有不同程度的错误。因此仅供参考，如有错误，欢迎指出！

[weave] [knit]若无特别专业需求，实际上两者差异不大：weave是经纬交织，是织布机的“梭织”；knit是针织，是编织毛衣的织法。（我对织衣服一无所知，大概仿照别人的说法复述了一遍……）

柯林斯词典关于weave的解释和例句：[V-T/V-I] If you weave cloth or a carpet, you make it by crossing threads over and under each other using a frame or machine called a loom. 织She sat at her loom and continued to weave. （她坐在织布机前，继续织布。）

柯林斯词典关于knit的解释和例句：[V-T/V-I] If you knit something, especially an article of clothing, you make it from wool or a similar thread by using two knitting needles or a machine. 编织I have already started knitting baby clothes. （我已经开始织婴儿的衣服了。）

我们首先来了解一下虚拟语气的其中一种用法。

I insist he live here. = I ask him to live here. (subjunctive mood)我让他 住在这里。（虚拟语气，即should live）I insist he lives here. = I know for sure he lives here. (indicative mood)我坚持 他住在这里 （的观点） （真实语气，可以变形为单三）

那么dare to do sth. 就是第一种情况，可能是没发生的，有“打赌”的感觉；dare do sth. 是表达我的一种气愤，没有“打赌”的感觉。

[goods] [freight]（疑）freight是火车卡车运的小宗货物（当然特殊情况下也可以交给轮船或者飞机），或者是其收取的费用，或者是运送的流程；goods意思就比较广泛一点，任何货物都可以。但是柯林斯词典认为goods是商品的意思，没有货物的意思。

牛津词典关于goods的例句：We deliver the goods in batches. （我们分批交付货物。）

柯林斯词典关于freight的解释和例句：[N-UNCOUNT] Freight is the movement of goods by trucks, trains, ships, or aeroplanes. 货运France derives 16% of revenue from air freight. （法国国家税收的16%来自于航空货运。）

[staple] [main]staple的主要，是作为基础、不可缺少的主要来讲的，类似于金字塔的底部；main就是广泛意义上的主要，important，我就硬说成是金字塔的主体部分吧。

柯林斯词典关于staple的解释和例句：[ADJ] A staple food, product, or activity is one that is basic and important in people's everyday lives. 基本的; 主要的 (食物、产品、活动)Rice is the staple food of more than half the world's population. （大米是世界上半数以上人口的主食。）

柯林斯词典对于main的解释：[ADJ] The main thing is the most important one of several similar things in a particular situation. 最重要的; 主要的

[normal] [common] [ordinary]normal和common其实差别比较显著：normal是正常的，有别于special situation和strange的，千万不能是常见的；common才是常见的，一般人见到不会想太多，不会感到surprised，没有感情色彩；ordinary带有感情色彩，可以说是“平平无奇”并且出现的频率很高，normal和common的结合体。

柯林斯词典关于normal的解释和例句：[ADJ] Something that is normal is usual and ordinary, and is what people expect. 正常的; 平常的The two countries resumed normal diplomatic relations. （这两个国家恢复了正常的外交关系。）

[council] [committee]council的委员会更多和politics相关，例如各种party的委员会，或者某种部门、职能的委员会；committee的委员会就比较宽泛，大概就是一群人干点正经事儿。不太清楚日本动画中的某某动画制作委员会算不算committee。
